Looking After your Bathroom
The bathroom is one of the most used rooms in your apartment and it can also be the hardest to keep clean and looking nice. It’s recommended to clean your toilet, sink, shower and bath weekly:
CAUTION: Don’t use any abrasive or acidic cleaning products as these will damage the surface finish.
– Following the manufacturers’ instructions, spray a suitable bathroom cleaner / disinfectant in the sink and around the taps, the unit tops, the bath / shower and shower hose and head, toilet seat and flush button then wipe off with a clean soft sponge or cloth. Remember to leave the surfaces wet for the correct amount of time to kill germs. Rinse and dry as necessary.
– Following the manufacturers’ instructions, spray or pour a suitable toilet cleaner into the bowl and using a toilet brush, scrub the bowl to remove mess and any build-up of limescale. Then flush.
– Following the manufacturers’ instructions, spray a suitable glass cleaner on the mirror glass then using a dry soft cloth, wipe to remove any marks, dust and dirt. Vacuum the bathroom floor.
– Following the manufacturers’ instructions, pour a suitable disinfecting floor cleaner into a bucket of warm water then, using a mop, wipe over the floor. Rinse and dry as necessary.
– Using a clean soft cloth, buff all chrome fittings.
TIP: Use a small squeegee after you shower or bathe to clean the glass and reduce water marks. TIP: Put a small piece of nylon netting over the bath tub drain to reduce hair clogs.
TIP: Use a soft clean cloth to wipe over your bath, sink and shower each time you use it to remove marks and smears etc. This will also help reduce limescale (hard water) marks.
