Living in your new home
We take the upmost care over every new home we design and build and we want to ensure that you can relax and enjoy it.
In support of this, a series of independent quality assurance inspections are carried out on each and every new home during key stages of construction. These quality assurance inspections are aimed at giving you peace of mind so you can enjoy the full benefits of living in your new home.
Warranties and guarantees
Your new home is covered by our Premier Guarantee 10-year structural insurance and a 2-year defects insurance.
If you have any problems with your new home please contact us. See Useful Contacts.
Once you notify us, we aim to deal with your problem as quickly as possible. One of our contractors will get in touch with you directly to arrange for the agreed works to be undertaken at a time which is convenient for you. We always aim to complete any agreed works within the following 28 days; however, should we need to order replacement parts this could take a little longer. If an immediate solution is not possible, we will investigate and assess the matter within 10 working days.
To make sure your 2-year limited warranty covers you at all times, you must arrange regular maintenance and servicing of all appliances, ventilation system and heating system; in particular the hot water cylinder. See Hot Water
Manufacturers’ warranties
Many of the integral appliances we’ve installed in your new home are also covered by the respective manufacturer warranty. Warranty paperwork should be checked, completed and returned where appropriate.
Windows and doors are also covered by the respective manufacturer’s warranty.
This covers any manufacturing faults but does not include claims for damage.
If you have questions relating to any warranties on your new home, please call our Customer Care team who will be happy to advise and support you. See Useful Contacts.
Home insurance
Your 2-year defects insurance does not cover general wear and tear, condensation, shrinkage and damage due to not taking care of your new home, nor does it cover you against:
– Any claim that’s insured elsewhere.
– Damage to the contents of your home.
You will need to take out a separate insurance policy for your home contents too.
