Mechanical Extract Ventilation System
We have fitted a mechanical extract ventilation system in your apartment. The unit is installed inside the Store Cupboard and forms part of your hot water system (see Hot Water)

The unit extracts stale / moist air from the Store Cupboard, the bathroom and the kitchen, via a system of ductwork above the ceilings and ceiling mounted grilles:

The stale / moist air is then extracted outside the building via a duct running through the outside wall – a grille is fitted to the duct.
How do you operate it?
NOTE: The unit operates automatically and continuously, using either the trickle or boost mode, and should not be switched off.
Looking After your Ventilation System
It’s important that you arrange to have your mechanical extract ventilation system periodically checked, inspected and cleaned by an engineer to make sure the system operates correctly and efficiently. You can arrange a service by calling the manufacturer using the contact information in the owners manual / service guide provided. Not getting your mechanical extract ventilation system serviced by an engineer will void the guarantee.
