Resident Portal

Overview
Waste and Recycling facilities are provided for residents at Meadow Mill by Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council.  The collection of Waste and Recycling is funded through your Council Tax.

Resident Responsibilities
Residents are responsible for the considerate and responsible management of their own waste.

This means;
– Removing waste to the designated Waste  & Recycling area (see Finding Your Way Around)
– Correctly separating and disposing of waste into the correct waste bins.
– Ensuring that general waste is disposed of in a suitable waste bag or bin liner that is tied shut.
– Never storing or allowing to be stored waste of any kind in the communal areas, corridors or reception for any reason at any time.
– Removal of bulk waste or large items, including unwanted furniture, to the local authority waste & recycling centre at their own expense.

Fly Tipping and Unacceptable Management of Waste

Fly tipping on private land is a criminal offence and the management of Meadow Mill will not hesitate to take action with any residents who irresponsibly dispose of waste anywhere other than the designated waste bins.  This includes the unauthorised disposal of furniture of bulk items anywhere on the site.
Irresponsible disposal of waste can cause serious risks to all residents of the building.

This includes
– Leaving waste in corridors and communal areas which can cause a serious fire risk
– Improperly disposing of food waste which can attract rodents and other pests
